12 Days of Christmas – Day 10

Today we are really pleased to bring you the donation of this year’s Christmas Book Appeal trolley to Jigsaw Hospice in Carlisle!

This year’s appeal included more than double the amount of books that last year’s did…and you guys still smashed it and all of them sold well in advance of Christmas! How fantastic is that?! We simply have the best supporters…

We took the trolley along to Jigsaw Children’s Hospice, with all the books personally labelled from those of you who sponsored them this year and handed it over to the wonderful staff at the hospice…which now means we support 18 different medical teams across our region’s hospitals and hospices!! Wow!!! The lovely staff were made up with the trolley, and as they were explaining that they knew it would make such a difference the amazing lady in the picture arrived in the room in her wheelchair and got herself a book to start reading…(it was Mr. Stink – so Susan Warner yours was first read!)

We love running the book appeal each year and know that you guys love taking part, and it is such a special moment to hand it over each year and see the reaction from those that receive all the books…
