12 Days of Christmas – Day 8

For day 8 of our 12 Days of Christmas we have popped back to Ward 2a at the Great North Children’s Hospital to donate some Christmas Craft activities for the children!

The young people who spend time on Ward 2a suffer from respiratory problems – some of these can be chronic, life-long illnesses which mean the child spending long periods stuck in hospital for treatment – but it doesn’t necessarily mean they are bedridden or unable to do anything…so they can easily get bored! We donate lots of things to try and help with this, making time more bearable for children and their families, and Marie asked us if we could make a Christmas themed donation to keep the children on the ward entertained…so we did!

You can see from our picture below of the wonderful Dylan that they got on straight away using them and doing an amazing job!
