Parent Bags to Ward 9 at the Great North Children’s Hospital
We were thrilled to deliver a batch our parent bags to the team on Ward 9 at the Great North Children’s Hospital! Thank you so much to the wonderful team at ‘Out of Eden’ who supply us with a lot of the toiletries for the bags – such lovely people!!
When a child arrives at A & E either with parents and in an ambulance they can be admitted to hospital (on a ward such as Ward 9) and have none of their possessions with them – therefore the staff can provide families with one of our packs containing everything they need to get through a few days and find their feet.
Each bag contains:
- Shower gel
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Deodorant
- A comb
- A bobble
- A facecloth
- A Team Evie notebook and pen
- A drink and a snack
- A ‘Fudge’ soft toy giraffe
The parent bags make such a difference, so thank you so much to those of you who have donate via our online store to pay for some of the bags to be put together for the team and the families they help in their time of need.
